A fabulous innovative idea to come out of Wodonga is from the team behind Grove Straws, who are passionate about reducing the use of single-use plastics and the amount of waste going to landfill.
Connor, Rowan, Ben and Joe have developed a concept where straws are made from the natural formation of the roots of a mangrove tree, creating both a sustainable and environmentally friendly alternative to paper and plastic straws.
To trial their idea for an alternative straw, they will research already existing environmentally friendly straws, and partner with local cafes and restaurants to convert them to switch to a more sustainable practice. All part of their mission to turn the hospitality industry more green!
