Across CIC's Social Innovators programs, young people keep coming back to the same problem: periods are still taboo, and that stigma has real costs- financial, social and emotional. Students see it up close, in their own schools and communities, and instead of looking away, they've chosen to design solutions. From free products and safer spaces to bold advertising campaigns and clever apps, each of these teams has taken on a different piece of the puzzle: access, affordability, education or shame. What ties them together is a shared belief that periods shouldn't hold anyone back, and that breaking down societal stigma starts with young people willing to talk about it openly. These are their ideas.
