Across two days, Y8 students from three Warrnambool schools, including Emmanuel College, Warrnambool College and Brauer College, took part in CIC’s Social Innovators Program: Throughout the program, students explored real community challenges using a design thinking approach. They worked in teams to turn issues they care about into practical, creative solutions and achievable first steps. Across 14 teams, students demonstrated strong collaboration, empathy, and problem-solving skills—showing that young people are not just future leaders, but active changemakers in their communities today. This program was supported by the Warrnambool City Council, whose contribution helped make the initiative possible.
