Off the back of a tumultuous year of lockdowns, this team wanted to ensure that no matter what comes next, people would have a safe way to connect with one another while staying physically active.
The team developed the idea of a self-sanitizing sports ball. By self-sanitizing, the ball could be used by friends from different homes, so they can remain connected but at a safe physical distance.
This idea would allow young people to continue the sport they love, even during difficult times.
A smart place to trial their idea is to launch a game of basketball in their school. From here they can gauge people’s level of interest in participating in team sports and can use this insight to inform their bigger idea.
