This team identified that too many people in the world do not have access to basic life necessities such as healthy food, clean water, basic medications & hygiene items.
To address the issue, this team want to create a revolutionising vending machine that can be placed in low SES areas, allowing anyone can get access to healthy meal packages, basic medication, and hygiene items – for free
To trial this idea, the team would like to tap into the excess resources within the local community. People with excess food (grown/access to) can donate it as part of a school collection at KIC. This will then be shared through a connection with a local charitable organisation. The collection process will run for 1-2 weeks – depending on what is collected.
