This project explores how virtual reality technology could help students better understand different careers before entering the workforce. Through immersive VR experiences, students would be able to explore a variety of workplaces and learn practical skills in a safe environment.
The concept is particularly valuable for industries that involve high-risk or specialised environments, where direct work experience may not always be possible. By simulating these workplaces, students can gain insight into what different jobs involve and decide whether those careers might suit them.
To support this idea, the team plans to interview people working in a range of professions to learn more about their career journeys and the steps required to enter their fields. They hope to eventually organize a careers event where students can meet professionals and learn more about opportunities after school.
