Young people have faced a tough couple of years which has impacted their physical and mental health. Incidentally better is an all-inclusive app which aims to help young people get active and get off their screens. It will have a feature called ‘move’ which will allow the user to input their favourite hobbies and then it will suggest a form of physical activity that can be incorporated into that hobby. It will also reward users for reducing their screen time. The ‘connect’ feature of the app will allow users to connect, chat and share their experiences.

To trial this idea, the team will move away from the app and develop a program for the Year 9 students at their school. The students will participate in a physical activity challenge during their scheduled PE classes, incorporating different forms of activity into their everyday hobbies. It will run for a term.
