Regular exercise can feel like a real struggle sometimes. Many people don’t feel motivated or incentivised! This team developed an exciting new initiative called Fitcoin to address these issues. Fitcoin is both an app and watch that will reward people for exercising whilst also allowing them to build healthy habits. It aims to increase the overall wellbeing of the user, including their mental health.
To trial this idea, the team will create a paper based version which will involve students writing down their physical activity in a journal for a month-long period. Incentives will be offered to those who have had the most success inline with their exercise goals.
