So many cars, so much pollution! This team has a vision to create a school program which involves Year 9 students creating and designing their own environmentally sustainable method of transport. Students in Year 9 will be able to select this program and over will learn to build a car which they can then keep and drive once they receive their P’s. This subject will be available as an elective. Teachers will come from the mechanics industry and have first hand experience.
To trial this idea, the team will run a scaled back version of the program in which students work during lunchtime to collaborate on creating a model car. The students will learn a new specific skill at each session of the program.
