How might we optimise learning, ensure young people don’t fall through the cracks, and give young people the opportunity to prepare for the future? ‘Join the SSPIN!’
SSPIN stands for Staff, Students, and Parent Information Night, where local schools can collaborate and share learning ideas in a monthly meeting. This information night will empower students to be part of the planning and sharing process, encouraging schools to learn from each other whilst improving interschool relationships. Maybe one school has a stronger trade and arts program, whilst another has great extra-curricular opportunities… With SSPIN, schools can collaborate and enrich their individual school curricula, offering better resources for students to aid their learning.
To trial this idea, the local Ballarat schools will hold a trial meeting, hoping to cement this information night as a monthly event in all school calendars.
