9 in 10 Australian women have experienced street harassment and have to modify their behaviour as a result. This team wants to make this easier for women, they want to create a product that makes you feel safe and protected, they want to create Spray-Tastic. Spray-Tastic will be a ring or bracelet which has pepper spray embedded in it, it can be used when a woman feels they need to be protected in a dangerous situation. It will be a tool for self-defence.
To trial this idea, the team will collaborate with a self-defence expert to come into their school to run self-defence workshops. The workshops will give young women at the school the skills and empowerment to protect themselves in a variety of situations they may be faced with in their life.
