Inspired by the spirit of The Lorax, this team’s big, crazy idea is a global tree-planting app that encourages people everywhere to plant a tree each month and share its GPS location for all to see. With each planting, users contribute to a worldwide map of new growth—a collective forest stretching across continents, showing the power of many small acts to create lasting change.
To kickstart this ambitious project, the team is starting close to home. They’ll partner with local council and Bunnings to provide seedlings for Murtoa College’s Year 7 and 8 students. Together, they’ll have a community planting day around Halls Gap, helping restore areas affected by recent bushfires. This hands-on experience lets students be part of re-greening their community, giving them a sense of ownership and pride in protecting our planet. “Let It Grow” is more than an app—it’s a growing movement to rebuild and reconnect with nature, one tree at a time.
