The increasing prevalence of domestic and family violence is one of the biggest issues Australia faces today, and providing support to victims by connecting them to people with similar experiences is an important step in combating the epidemic.
The idea of Slice Night will create a safe space where attendees can come together to eat or bake ‘slice’, while participating in a facilitated circle time, where people can share their experiences and connect to others.
The team will test their idea with a slice night involving the teachers from Catholic College Wodonga, running twice over a month at the Arts Centre, with circle time and a wellbeing team facilitating.
