How can teenagers get experience in a variety of industries before they make their way into the workforce? That is the question this team began with when they developed their idea, Shadowing Your Future. This is an initiative that will involve teenagers shadowing an industry professional in a workplace they are interested in, young people will fill out a form on a website which will match them up. It will occur annually for young people across the country.
To trial this idea, the team will invite 20 year 11 students from their school to shadow an industry professional from their community for 1 day. They will use the network of the school to find businesses to participate and support the young people.
