For those experiencing homelessness, Pillow Map seeks to provide a warm and comfortable surface to sleep on, with the added bonus of a map to guide people around their local neighbourhoods. This design is magical, unfolding itself from its original form as a backpack, to a sleeping mat, with the pillow stored inside which also transforms into a sleeping bag. Even more resourceful, the backpack can store poles and cloth to create a tent. The compact design equips those experiencing homelessness with versatile sleeping options.
To trial this idea, the team will organise a sleep-out at their local school to raise awareness and trial their Pillow Map prototype.
