Growing up is tricky, your body is changing, and your clothes start to fit differently. Unfortunately, this transitional phase often leads young people to feel uncomfortable in their own skin, with over 90% of Australian youth expressing concerns about their body image.
This team’s crazy good idea is to create clothing that magically fits everyone, just like the jeans in ‘sisterhood of the travelling pants’. This way everyone is able to feel empowered in their clothing.
To kick start this idea, Felix, Olive, Eshaan, Caitlin and Mac, plan to implement sewing classes at school so that people can learn skills to make their own clothes that fit them. Through this thoughtful and inclusive initiative, the team seeks to revolutionise the way young people perceive and embrace their evolving bodies.
