Food waste is a massive issue, but MLC provides an easy and community-friendly solution. This portable compost bin would be placed in a central public place for people to drop off their organic waste. The bin would then compost the waste, and provide a free source of nutrient-rich compost for those who need it such as local community gardens, farmers or keen gardeners. By reducing waste and nourishing green spaces, MLC promotes sustainability and environmental responsibility.
To trial their idea, the team will put a compost bin on site at school for students to either drop off their organic waste or take compost from as needed.
