Lots of unpleasant things happen when we don’t stop to think about our actions. Perhaps that act of antisocial behaviour could be stopped by a small device that freezes the muscles when it detects malicious intent… MicroManagement is designed to prevent bullying and assaults by checking the behaviour before it can impact others. To test the idea, the team is planning to create a red wristband with the words ‘Take 10’ to remind the person to take 10 deep breaths before something unnecessary happens. The bands are a visual cue to themselves and others.
