Non-biodegradable plastic immensely contributes to pollution on Earth and poses a significant threat to the wildlife in our oceans.
Monique, Tyson, Allethea, Romi, Kate and Mat came up with the crazy good idea to design a magic mist which when sprayed dissolves plastic, rapidly cleaning up plastic waste. This pocket-sized spray would not only be easy to use but would also accompany an app where users could track their dissolving of plastic whilst competing with each-other.
As a smart place to start the group will collaborate with Maffra Secondary College to brainstorm ways in which the school community can reduce their consumption of single-use plastic, such as encouraging students to bring nude food to school and initiating a school-wide rubbish clean-up.
