How can we help young people feel more motivated at school? MagBot! MagBot will be a companion robot which provides personal motivation to students to help get them excited about learning. It will help the user set goals, encourage them when they are feeling stuck and keep them on track. There will also be a magazine that accompanies the robot that provides additional resources to help students do their best at school.
To trial this idea, the team will create Top-Trump cards which will have motivational quotes on them, each student who is struggling will be given a deck and each will have a unique character on them. Students will use them to get motivated and play games with, yet another incentive to come to school.
