Harnessing the omnipresence of technology, this team developed an app idea to find and connect those of similar interests. Introducing Friender. An app like Tinder, but for making friends. This app allows you to interact and connect with others (particularly those within your local area), while sharing your interests, hobbies, age and location. It creates the opportunity to connect, because we know there is no reason to restrict friendships to postcodes!
To trial this idea, the team will set up a letter writing program with two Year 6 classes from two different local primary schools to connect and to get to know someone as they transition into the next phase of their education.
