Fischious Robotic Fish

Plastic is the highest contributor to ocean pollution and poses a serious threat to the ocean’s biodiversity.

To reduce ocean pollution, Nick, Vanessa, Bailey, Taze and Toby want to design a robotic fish called “fischious” which will be programmed to swim constantly around the ocean collecting plastic. They envision this robotic fish to function on a feedback loop where the plastic collected by the robot fish will simultaneously power it to continue swimming and collecting plastic waste in the ocean.

As a smart place to start, this group are planning to collaborate with Sale College to create a bin in the shape of their envisioned robotic fish which will be placed in the school yard to collect rubbish and to raise awareness about the devastating impact of plastic waste on our oceans.
