Women continue to be put in situations where they don’t feel safe and comfortable. This team has identified that women have the right to feel empowered in their own strength.
That’s where Femme Fight Club comes in. FFC will be an optional school-based program which will give all girls at Iona an opportunity to participate in a range of fun activities, run weekly during lunchtime. These sessions will be dedicated to sharing past experiences and learning self-defense skills, in peer-led sessions.
This club is an opportunity for all girls from the school community to come together and connect. It will be a chance to learn new skills and to develop a strong support system in which girls can speak openly about their experiences.
