Almost every female experiences period-related cramps and pain throughout their lifetime, yet there are limited hygiene products available to help females combat menstrual pain.
To change this, Lily, Brydee, Ruby and Micala want to design a microwaveable heat pad which can be easily accessed by all women to help them counter period pain. This heat pad would be pocket-sized and expandable when microwaved, making it easy for all females to take their heat pad wherever they go.
To trial this idea, the team are planning to introduce pocket-sized, re-useable heat pads in school sick bays and first-aid kits so that female students and teachers can easily access them when experiencing menstrual pain. The team will collaborate with local healthcare providers and Catholic College Sale to make this trial possible.
