In Australia, 15% of homeless women are aged 19-24. 18% of homeless women are aged 25-34. Everyday women are ending up on the streets after experiencing domestic violence, limited support from their families, high housing prices and job loss.
To combat this challenge, this team have developed the idea for The Female Bus – a safe space for homeless women. On the bus, there are doctors, therapists, hairdressers, beauticians, and a hygiene station. The bus will move to different locations, reaching as many homeless women as possible.
